DEPARTMENT OF SANSKRIT, SAMHITA & SIDDHANTA
Introduction
The Department of Samhita Siddhant & Sanskrit forms the fundamental base of Ayurvedic education. It focuses on classical Ayurvedic texts (Samhitas) and the core philosophical principles (Siddhant) that guide the science of life. Sanskrit, being the language of Ayurveda, is taught to help students understand original scriptures in their authentic form.
This department plays a crucial role in shaping students conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and deep understanding of Ayurvedic fundamentals.
Aim
To preserve, promote, and propagate the authentic knowledge of Ayurveda through classical texts and Sanskrit.
Objectives
· To provide in-depth knowledge of classical Ayurvedic texts
· To develop understanding of fundamental principles of Ayurveda
· To promote proficiency in Sanskrit for interpreting original literature.
· To encourage critical thinking based on ancient concepts
· To bridge traditional wisdom with modern scientific approaches
