Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Hadapsar, Pune 411028 is a leading institute in the education field of Ayurved in India. Established on 1st August 1990 as the Undergraduate course institute, the institute is well-spread having far-flung activities in U. G., P. G., and Diploma and Fellowship courses. It is joined with Maharashtra University of Health Science NASIK. This is an Ayurved Mahavidyalay & 250 bedded Hospital. The mother institute of our college is Maharashtra Arogya Mandal, Hadapsar, Pune founded by the visionary Late Dr. Dadasaheb alias S. T. Gujar who was the doctor of Indigenous system of Medicines (Ayurved) inspired by the thoughts and principles laid down by Late Sane Gurujee (the great legendary social leader from Maharashtra). Dr Dadasaheb Gujar was the pioneer stalwart of Maharashtra Arogya Mandal who spearheaded the movement of Social activism on the fronts of Health, Education, Upliftment of Rural classes as well Tribal populations in Bhimashankar and Nandurbar districts of Maharashtra from various angles and ultimately established the Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved Mahavidyalaya with untiring efforts which are a grade I institute in India imparting the education of Ayurved on various levels. News & Events

    • Transitional Curriculum program as per NCISM schedule for first BAMS students of 2024-25 batch was carried out from 2 November 2024 to 25 November 2024.On first day 18 November Inauguration of Transitional Curriculum program was organized. On this occasion Chief guest Dr. GirishTillu , Principal Dr. Pranita Joshi-Deshmukh, and PG co-ordinator Dr. Vivek Chaudhari were present. It was started by Deep Prajwalan and Lord Dhanwatari Pujan. Dhanwantari Stawanwas recited by Dr. Amit Avalaskar. Reading of Diksha was done by Dr.Vibhavari Vaidya and diksha was given to all newly admitted students by Principal Dr. Pranita Joshi-Deshmukh. Several eminent Guest speakers like Dr. Girish Tillu (Chief guest), Dr. Dhananjay Mhasade, Dr. Milind Joshi and Mrs. Purnima Trivedi-Kulkarni were invited under this curriculum to deliver the lectures on various topics.   Head of departments of all first-year departments of the college, teachers, medical education technology committee members and non-teaching staff participated in the program. Under the guidance of Hon. Principal Pranita Joshi-Deshmukh P.G. coordinator Dr. Vivek Chaudhari served as the program coordinator. 

    • In college Sanvidhan Din was celebrated on 26/11/2024 in the library department of the college under the National Service Scheme. National Service Executive Officer Dr. Shankar Kemkar, committee member, Teaching, Non-Teaching staff and UG students of all departments were present for the program. The Constitution Pledge was taken at this time.

    • Sanskrit Conversation Class was conducted by 1st BAMS Sanskrit Bharati Transitional Course as per the schedule provided by NCISM for the admitted students from 18/11/2024 to 30/11/2024. Participation certificates were distributed to all newly admitted students at the event.

    • The book exhibition was held from 18/11/2024 to 23/11/2024 for undergraduate and postgraduate students by the college’s library department. Jaideep Brothers Medical Publisher, Paras Medical Publisher, Patil Medical Book Publisher participated in the event. The students were given books at a discounted rate.
