B. A. M. S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a degree level course designed and controlled by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi [CCIM] and approved by AYUSH Department of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Our college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by State Govt. of Maharashtra.


Programme Outcomes :


The aim of the BAMS course is to create graduates having profound knowledge of Principles of Ayurveda so that they will be the stalwart health providers to the society based on the following abilities :-

  • Inculcate the knowledge of Principles of Ayurveda which will be helpful for restoration of Health of all components of society at large.

  • To be able to manage and treat the diagnosed cases of common ailments acute & chronic variety after assessment of the patient on the basis of clinical assessment and proper investigations.

  • To be able to identify various health criteria which include life style disorders, psychological, environment-related and gender-specific disorders based on various heath determinants.

  • To become updated of the latest knowledge and recent advances in the field of Ayurveda and Modern medicines by taking Integrative approach through various means with the help of latest technological advances.

  • To be able to obtain inputs from the relevant research domains in various forms and varieties.

Main course – 4 and ½ years + Internship training programme – 01 year. The successful candidate is awarded degree of Ayurvedacharya (BAMS – Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (Nashik) after passing out the 4 & ½ yr course and completion of 01 yr. Internship Training Programme. Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi and English. As prescribed by CCIM (New Delhi) and adopted by MUHS (Nashik).
